A better Internet helps protect the health of our planet

Cloudflare is committed to powering its network with 100% renewable energy and offsetting or removing all historical emissions associated with powering its network by 2025.

To learn more about our greenhouse gas emissions and renewable energy purchases, see our 2022, 2021, and 2020 Carbon Emissions Inventory Reports.

As a member of the UN Global Compact, Cloudflare is committed to developing environmentally friendly technologies. In 2023, we released independent research conducted by Analysys Mason showing that switching enterprise network services from on-premises devices to Cloudflare’s cloud-based services can cut related carbon emissions up to 78% for very large businesses to up to 96% for small businesses.

A better Internet is built on respect for human rights

Cloudflare is committed to respecting human rights under the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

As a Global Network Initiative (GNI) member, we are committed to helping to protect and advance freedom of expression and privacy online.

A better Internet is built by teams that are diverse and inclusive

Cloudflare is building a thriving, collaborative culture where we respect each other's work, listen to new ideas, and encourage each other's growth.

Cloudflare named one of the Most Loved Workplaces in 2023 by Newsweek and BPI

“Having a workplace that allows our team to feel a sense of belonging and empowerment to do their best work is essential. That is why we have built corporate practices, policies, benefits, and an overall culture that is inclusive of everyone, including LGBTQIA+ folks. Achieving a perfect 100 score on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index, and being recognized alongside all of the other companies that have acted to create inclusive workplaces, is something we are proud of.”

Cloudflare is a signatory of the UN Global Compact. We are committed to the UN Ten Principles and to helping build a better Internet that supports global sustainable development goals.
