Ensuring that at-risk public interest groups stay online.
Human rights defenders, journalists, and humanitarian organizations are often vulnerable to cyberattacks. In collaboration with 57 civil society partners, Cloudflare protects public interest groups from attacks intended to silence them online.

Athenian Project
Free security and performance for state and local election websites.
We created the Athenian Project to provide state and local governments with the highest level of cybersecurity protection and reliability for their election websites at no cost. This ensures constituents can securely access election information and register to vote.

With Project Pangea, we can help communities solve the network challenges of routing traffic to and from the Internet.
Project Cybersafe Schools
Provides 131 school districts in 30 states with Zero Trust security solutions that help minimize exposure to harmful online content and common threats such as phishing and credential harvesting.
Our environmental commitments
100% renewable energy
We power our operations with 100% renewable energy. We also donate to reforestation projects each year to help account for the use of Bot Fight Mode and Super Bot Fight Mode.
Historical emissions
We will offset or remove historical emissions associated with powering our network by 2025.
Annual inventory
We publish our company-wide emissions on an annual basis.
Reduction targets
We have committed to setting near-term company-wide emissions reduction targets in line with climate science with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
Cutting emissions by moving to the cloud
Analysys Mason, an independent research firm, found that Cloudflare's cloud-based services can reduce related carbon emissions by up to 96% compared to on-premise hardware appliances.
